		<description>I don&#039;t want to start something, but like you say there are a whole host of albums you could choose, but some not mentioned are &#039;Trout Mask Replica&#039; by Captain Beefheart, which not only marries blues, garage rock, free jazz, and all that - but adds a little bit of the avant garde and plain weird - starting an alternative undercurrent? Or at least one of the most original &#039;where did that come from&#039; albums of the year (honorable mention for Zappa who had no small part in that album and put out &#039;Hot Rats&#039; in the same year).

Also in &#039;69 there is &#039;The Stooges&#039; by The Stooges which has had more than a little influence, &#039;Hot Buttered Soul&#039; by Isaac Hayes and Miles Davis dropped &#039;In a Silent Way&#039;. . . it goes on</description>
